The Art of Art Reaganing
Yesterday was outlandishly productive (particularly since I slept in far later than I should have). Got a few things done around the house, went to the farmer’s market, found two brilliant new installation artists for upcoming shows, made great progress on the essay for the August show and was given the most spectacular painting. Think naughty Thiebaud still lifes. It’s sublime and I’m still a little flabbergasted that it is mine. Photos to come. More writing to do, emails to send, shows to plan and a vacation to prepare for. Ready aaaaaaaand go.

Strugglesaurus Rex
Despite a bumpy start (I’m looking at you Luxor cabs. Less of a look, more of a death glare. coughwaitedanhourforacabcough), last night was a success. artMRKT looks great, got to see a lot of people. Reconvened the team to head over to the very end of Art Pad, ended up hailing a limo (less of a hail, more of Em trying to hitchhike). Took said limo to the Phoenix, got to see a few more people before the fair closed for the night. Got the rest of the team, late night sushi and ended at Big with a lovely whiskey.
Good job team.
Who’s excited about this show?
I’m REALLY god damn excited about this show. (And the mural. We must not forget about the mural.) Still so much to do, but I can’t wait to send out the early press for this show and get everyone else as excited as I am. Did I tell you I’m excited? I’m excited.
